We sell
the fun.
Havasu Fireworks started with a simple idea: bring great fireworks and a little more excitement to the families celebrating in Lake Havasu City. What began as a seasonal stand became a tradition — and eventually grew to serve Parker, too.
It started with a stand.
In 2011, Havasu Fireworks began serving Lake Havasu City as a seasonal fireworks business. We were learning the business in real time — what families wanted, which products people came back for, and how to make a seasonal fireworks stand feel like something more than just a place to buy a box.
Over the years, the customers came back. Kids who were excited to pick fireworks became teenagers choosing their own favorites. Families made us part of their New Year's and Fourth of July traditions. That repeat business is what turned a seasonal stand into Havasu Fireworks.
At one point, this seemed like a terrible idea.
By 2013, we had already learned one of the great truths about selling fireworks in Lake Havasu: July is hot. Very hot. One summer, the temperature sign at the bank read 128 degrees while we were out there selling fireworks.
There were definitely moments when we questioned the decision. But we kept showing up — and the families of Havasu kept showing up with us. Years later, the heat is part of the story.
One season at a time.
Havasu Fireworks wasn't built overnight. It grew through years of seasonal selling, repeat customers, learning the products, and figuring out what makes the experience fun for families.
Havasu Fireworks begins
We start serving Lake Havasu City and begin building a seasonal fireworks tradition.
Learning what customers actually want
Season after season, the product mix improves as we learn which fountains, assortments, and family favorites people come back for.
Havasu Fireworks comes to Parker
We expand beyond Lake Havasu City and begin serving customers in Parker during the Fourth of July season.
More than just selling fireworks
We're continuing to improve the customer experience while building a fundraising program designed to help schools, teams, clubs, nonprofits, and youth organizations raise money.
Because fireworks are supposed to be fun.
We take the business seriously. We just don't think the experience needs to feel serious.
Make it exciting
Fireworks are part of the celebration. The shopping experience should feel like part of it, too.
Keep it family-focused
Some of our favorite customers are the kids who spend ten minutes debating which fountain absolutely has to come home.
Support the community
We're building new ways for schools, teams, clubs, nonprofits, and youth organizations to benefit from the same seasonal excitement.
Help the community make some noise.
After years of selling fireworks directly to families, we started looking at the business differently: if people are already buying fireworks for the holiday, why couldn't those purchases also help a school, sports team, club, nonprofit, or youth organization raise money?
That's the idea behind the Havasu Fireworks fundraising program — use something families already get excited about to help local organizations fund the things that matter to them.
